This app is made to help medical students and medical doctors learn more efficient.
The main function of this app is to allow you to randomize a diagnose from a list of diagnoses.
There are 27 medical specialties and 1268 diagnoses to choose from in this app.
The intention is to take advantage of the benefits using PBL (problem-based learning).
PBL actively engages you in constructing knowledge while increasing focus and intrinsic motivation.
More than eighty percent of medical schools in the United States now have some form of PBL in their programs.

You can create your own list of diagnoses by adding them to “Favourites”, or you can use the existing lists of diagnoses.
By using the “Notes”-feature, you can add notes to the diagnoses, if desired.

The available medical knowledge is overwhelming.
As a medical professional you need to stay focused while studying to counteract this.
In my experience, focus starts to fade away early if studying becomes repetitive, e.g.
reading lengthy chapters in one session or trying reading a book cover to cover.
The intention of this app is to combat this, and make learning medicine more like playing a fun game.
Example:1.
Choose the desired list of diagnoses (or make your own list from the 1268 available ones)2.
Hit the randomize-button.
3.
If “Myocardial infarction with ST-elevation (STEMI)” now will show top of the list, quiz yourself on this diagnose; e.g.
definition, etiology, symptoms and findings, treatment etc.
When you feel mastery of this diagnose, hit the randomize-button again to get a new one.
You have to construct the questions and answers yourself.
The purpose of this app is simply to mimic the situation you will face at exam or in the emergency department as a junior doctor: Random diagnoses.
